The primary objective was to develop a platform which would be a social network site for musicians, easy to maintain, highly scalable with multiple complex functionalities. On top of it, our client being a startup, wanted the right technical partner to hit the ground running as soon as possible. The overall project duration was close to 2 years and this time was essential to understand the needs of all future users, focus on every minute detail and translate that into a highly interactive music sharing platform. The music platform needed to be built for all major functionalities catering to the music industry which included managing bands, messaging, notifications, event calendar, billboard, profile connects/ followers/ likes, media management (images, video, audio), international settings and many more.
